This is for you Jen!

I saw that I have not posted on my own blog since July. I have had a very busy year. It is kind of funny because normally I am pretty straight with my work. I worked last year, did my little clean up the house and cook stuff. Then, this year, I am pregnant...I am cheerleading coach, I am the grade level chair for the 6th grade teachers, secretary for the ELA Dept. TOO MUCH!!! But, anyways, I am going out to eat with Amanda and Gracie tonight. Should be fun...Gracie is one and wide open. I like to get her in trouble with Amanda. Brad is working 2nd shift right now and I have not seen him since Tuesday. Weird. I talked to him one day though. There is a cookout this weekend for Mel and Ramie. I don't know if I will go. I might go for a few minutes since I am in the wedding. I don't want to be around any partying right now. Esp. since I can't party. Does anyone watch Laguna Beach? I love that show. It's like I get to see what other people are doing. I guess I am if I am watching the show. Either way, I think it is interesting. Thanks for the happy birthday Jen...the big 2-5 for me. Ugh! What's next...motherhood? Uh, yeah, I guess so. I am going to the doctor on December 1 for my four month check up. I will know what the baby will be if ya'll want to know. I have started gaining some weight too. My regular clothes don't fit, but then, neither do the maternity clothes I got for my birthday. I wear whatever I can. Right now I have a rubberband holding my regular jeans together because if I button them I would probably pass out. It is funny though because according to the scales I have only gained 2 lbs. Doesn't feel that way though. I had to have an ultrasound last month too becaues the doc thought there was a problem. No problems, but the baby looked kind of like a boiled peanut. It was sucking its thumb. So cool. My mama was so excited. But other than all this, I am ready for Christmas. I love to shop for gifts and all that stuff. I am also ready for 2 weeks out of school. I hope everyone else is doing well. Next birthday is Dorian's...right?

Back from the beach!

So I just got home from the beach yesterday. I had a pretty good time. Me and Hannah got beat up by some waves on Friday. I had one knock me down and I didn't think I would ever be able to get up. Poor Han, when I came up she was yelling for me. Then, we laughed. I have a pretty good tan and some back to school gear. I am always happy about new clothes. Hannah will be 18 in two weeks and moving into Coastal on Aug. 13. I am sad. I read the blog about the cars, Dorian and where you talked about Sissy. I have a new car now. It is a black 4-door Honda. I traded in the silver one. I thought about an SUV, but I think I am too little for all that. Plus, I need 4-doors if I am ever going to fulfill my destiny of becoming a baby factory. I am just kidding....seriously...don't laugh and say thats probably true. I only want 2 maybe 3 babies for Brad. Dorian, do you remember when you used to fuss at me for saying she had a baby for him instead of with him. Those were the days. I also saw where you called me a redneck. My cousins are redneck...I am country. There is such a huge difference. Did I mention that Joel is engaged? He's not getting married until Jessica finishes nursing school in two years...but still. Brad started a new job at the prison, so I am sitting around by myself these days unless I drive the 30 min. to Bennettsville. But, he likes it a lot, so thats cool. Anyways, I guess I will chat later. Also, I would like a rape whistle so that I can blow it in Brad's ear. Just to laugh about it. Hopefully you have a few extra.

Summer, Summer, Summertime!

Does anyone remember that great Will Smith classic? That was a great song. I hope everyone is doing well. I am doing pretty good. I have been pretty bored with the exception of teaching a math class at tech and coaching cheerleading. My girls had cheer camp Mon. - Wed. of this week. I basically sat on my butt for three days while the girls worked with "professional" cheerleaders. But the good news is I am leaving for the beach on Sunday. I am going to get the tan that has eluded me all summer. Maybe my hair will lighten up again. I had some highlighting done like I usually do, except I went a little lighter than I intended and wound up with blonde hair. I freaked out at first...major freaked out...but then, I got a lot of positive feedback from it so I left it like that. Now it seems weird to see pictures of me with dark brown hair. Hannah is leaving for Coastal in a few weeks. I am pretty jealous of her. I hope she enjoys it. She says she will except she thinks there are too many white people there. She told Mama that she should have gone to SC State or Benedict with all the black people cause she is really a black girl trapped in a white girls body. She says this because our high school is predominantly black and she has been one of the only 2 white cheerleaders on her squad for 4 years. She is an insane child. As fore me, school starts back the second week in August so that is where I will be. But, that is all for now. Sorry about my computer shutting down the other day, Maggie. It was good talking to you.

Hey Yall

I know I haven't written in a while, but I have read most of everyone's stuff. Actually, I tried to make a comment once or twice, but I couldn't because my computer was acting crazy. Plus, I have been busy too. With the end of the school year coming, we have to teach and reteach everything to make sure students are ready for the PACT Test....fun, right? Anyways, also I am the new cheerleading coach for next year, and the 6th grade level chairperson and I think I am going to start working on my masters degree this summer...the only thing is that I hate the lose the money I make from teaching at tech. I sound like a grown up, don't I? Everyone at work says that I am going to have a baby cause I have started not wanting foods like pizza and then I will feel sick...I think it's the warm weather and the fact that I am ready for school to be out. I have also started trying to get my pool ready for the summer. Hannah says she needs a tan before she leaves for Coastal. I can't believe she is about to go down there...lucky! I am going to go help her move in. It would be like old times. I told Amanda we are going to throw Gracie into the pool and make her sink or swim. (In case you don't remember, Amanda was the pregnant bridesmaid in my wedding...she married Brock.) Anyway, thats what I am doing these days. I hope everyone is doing great. Let me know if yall come to the beach this summer!

Take me to Target!

Can I just tell everyone that I truly love Target. Brad and I paid a visit to that magical place last night after our Valentine's adventure at Outback. I bought socks, a new pocketbook, a shirt for Felicia and Brad got a new hat. I saw all these pretty coats and bathing suits that I wanted. I know coats and bathing suits are a weird combo, but thats the magic of Target. They cater to people who are living & buying in the present cooler temps and the people who have early symptoms of spring fever. I found a bunch of stuff there...I can't wait to go back. I give mad props to Target! I wish I could be in one of their commercials!

This is for you Dorian

I am getting on the ball. I already responded to one of your posts and I am writing a little something of my own. On the news this week, they are reporting that someone at CCU has contracted Tuberculosis. They are trying to get everyone to come in and be tested. So far, only 200 have responded. As far as myself, I have just been chillin trying to avoid our weird weather. One day it is in the 20's and the next its 65 outside. El Nino I guess. I don't know that we will get any snow here this year. How is everyone else's weather. I am trying to get a grasp on finances right now. Managing money with bills, and groceries and Brad is hard. I get scared and think...did I make the house payment? Did I schedule the light bill to be paid? Can I afford some bread and milk? SCARY STUFF! Other than that, I am just chillin...I will write something again soon, Dorian!
